When I am out on the boat and the wind is whipping through my hair,oh I hate my hair when its windy, I feel free. I don't think about the things that need to get done at home. I watch the seagulls and think about how they live. All they think about it how to get from point A to point B. They never say "how do my feathers look?" or "OMG the wind is tying knots in my feathers." or my favorite "Ewwe you smell like fish."
They take off and head the way the wind takes them. They hang out on the beach until some tourist disturbs their rest. Dinner is always a dive away. Not a bad way to live.
But then reality and the responsibilities of life hits me and I think about what I need to get done for the day. Oh to be a gull....
The book is coming a long nicely. I have fallen in love with the story and the characters. I can not wait to share them with you. The summer heat has made the afternoons unbearable and it has made it easy to stay inside and write. Beth is turning out to be a very strong woman who has overcome a lot in her life. She is determined to turn her life around with her art gallery. Her meeting with a Parisian art dealer was a huge success. Wait till you hear what she bought to sell in the gallery.
