6/8/2017 0 Comments thinking of you...This poem is dedicated to all the watermen's wives on World Ocean's Day. Thank you for sharing your husbands with the rest of the world to provide for our tables. A Letter to His Other Love I know that you will never read this but I needed to put this on paper. When he left the house this morning, he was going to be gone for a month. It’s a fact. He is running to you, his haven, the one that keeps him sane. You hold him while he works, feeding families other than his own. You rock him at night and during the storms in his berth. His face kissed with the spray of your essence. There is no restraint in your embrace. It’s no wonder he cannot stay away. You offer everything that I can’t. I pray you send him back. Should I even hope? I do.
